Tackle Loaner Program

Lake Devin is one of the City's most precious natural resources.  Steps are underway to ensure that it remains that way - but also becomes a location of great enjoyment for the community.

In cooperation with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, a Tackle Loaner Program and an intensive Lake Management program is underway.  A grant in the amount of $3700 was awarded to the City through the Granville County Mini Grant Program to partially fund a Lake Management Office and the purchase of fish food.  See  Lake Devin on the Facilities page for more information.

Lake Management Office has been completed at Lake Devin. The plan is to have educational material for children and adults as well as bait for fishing.

A new dock was constructed and placed at the lake funding was provided through NC Wildlife Resources Commission, local, State and Federal.
